In late 2018, PROCON began the technical supervision of the drinking-water hydraulic works in El Rama, La Esperanza, Nueva Guinea, and Rivas, as well as the sanitary sewer system in Condega, Nicaragua. The project, financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Government of Nicaragua with an investment of more than USD 35 million, included the comprehensive execution of hydraulic infrastructure for five municipalities. PROCON ensured compliance with technical specifications, contractual terms, schedules, and budgets, along with rigorous resource management. The supervised works included drinking-water treatment plants (DWTP), storage tanks, pumping stations (EBAP), intake works, submarine pipelines, pumping mains, and more than 65 km of distribution networks. In Condega, supervision covered sanitary sewer networks, manholes, household connections, pumping stations (EBAR), and a wastewater treatment plant (PTAR), strengthening sanitation infrastructure and basic services in the region.
“In supervising the execution of the works, PROCON acted in accordance with the contractual terms of reference. All documentation and management carried out by PROCON were received to the full satisfaction of the client.”
