PROCON was responsible for the feasibility studies and detailed design for the Improvement and Expansion of the Drinking Water System in the city of Estelí, Nicaragua, financed by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI). The project aims to ensure 100% urban coverage during the design period from 2024 to 2044, benefiting a projected population of 255,578 inhabitants.
The design included intake through 20 drilled wells, 30 storage tanks, 2 booster stations, 178.77 km of distribution network, 22.98 km of pumping main, 39 operation and control units, and 29 pressure-regulating valves. This technical solution responds to criteria of efficiency, sustainability, and adaptability to urban growth, strengthening the municipality’s drinking-water system.
